Recent Recalls on Mazda You Should Know

We rely on our cars every day to get us from point A to point B. For most of us, our vehicle is our most trusted source of transportation. So, when your new car receives an urgent recall, you can easily work your way to quite a panic.

The new 2019 Mazda 3 hatchback model has been recalled on vehicles sold in June. During this recall, there were more than 25,000 vehicles affected. Mazda USA issued a statement warning, “In the worst case, continuous use will lead to a wheel detaching from the vehicle. A wheel separating from the vehicle increases the risk of a crash.” However, they did state that there hadn’t been any reports of wheel separation due to this problem.

Ford just recently recalled over 100k cars that involved an issue with the seatbelt. Certain models, such as the Ford Fusion and the Lincoln MKZ , 2015 year are affected. Ford states that the seat belt cables can lose their strength by heat buildup and may not properly restrain passengers. Owner of these models will be noticed in September 2019.

Toyota has also recently had to recall the 2019 RAV4 and the 2019 RAV4 Hybrid SUVs. The best-selling compact crossover has a defect that could prevent the back-up camera from activating, increasing the risk for a crash. Toyota will notify owners in October, and Dealers will replace the audio display unit for free.

Honda 2019 Honda CR-V has a recall on the joint weld that is between the fuel tank and the vapor return line. Allowing the fuel to leak it increases the risk of fire when in the presence of an ignition source. Dealers are replacing the fuel tank for owners.

If you think that your vehicle may be on a recall list, you can call the National Highway Safety Traffic Administration’s vehicle safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit their website.
